We are so thankful for a large number of volunteers and staff who make Compassion Closet possible! These people faithfully serve in a number of different capacities, and we are always looking for more partners to join us. Pictured below are those who have agreed to serve as staff members and are directors of the different areas we service. Compassion Closet Location Directors
Executive Director: Julie Gillen
Julie handles administrative tasks, ordering supplies, managing emails, and many other behind-the-scenes tasks, while also being a regular, welcoming face at the West Knoxville location.

North Knox Director: Melissa Cox
Melissa has been a part of the local foster care community for years and uses her gift of networking to build connections and outreach. She manages our social media presence, and is also the only one of our team brave enough to speak to all the media outlets when they call!

Oak Ridge Director: Madeline Worley
Madeline has been dedicated to supporting the local foster care community for years. She and her family help provide respite care, and are an integral part of the foster care community in Oak Ridge.

Campbell County Director: Pam Winter
The Winter family has deep, multi-generational roots in foster care & adoption, and is directing our closet in the Campbell County community.

Seymour Director: Amanda Householder
Amanda is a longtime adoptive & foster mom. She recently began working with her community to open our Seymour closet location.

Farragut Director: Hannah Jessee
Hannah began serving at the West Knox location in 2020, and her weekly openings have been so helpful to our families. She also hosts volunteers each week that help process donations and keep our bins refilled and well stocked.
