We couldn’t do what we do for the foster care community in East Tennessee without the support of our incredible volunteers! Would you like to get involved? Below are some specific ways that you can help. Contact your local closet director if you would like to commit to one or more of the volunteer opportunities listed below.
Volunteer Opportunities
- SORTER – Sort donations during open times.
- GROUP FACILITATOR – Organize a group of 5 or more people to sort for a designated 2 hour period.
- HOUSEKEEPING – Clean at one of our facilities. May include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, bathrooms, trash removal, etc.
- SHOPPER – Shop for sales, discounts & clearance items from our “Current Needs” list.
- FUNDRAISER – Organize a fundraiser or donation drive to support our ministry.
- DELIVERY – Offer to pick up and/or deliver items to Compassion Closet or families.
- SHARE – Help spread the word about our ministry purpose and needs.
- PRAYER – Partner with us to intentionally & regularly pray for our outreach, volunteers, families and children. Visit our Prayer Page for more details.
