What a blessing it was to serve with so many of you in 2023! As we reflect on this past year, we can’t help but think of the many families, volunteers, supporters, and organizations here in East Tennessee who have come alongside Compassion Closet. Our community has continued to support the work of foster care. Thank you!
In 2023, Compassion Closet fulfilled over 3,000 requests for clothing/baby gear/school supplies and more for children here in East Tennessee. Beds and mattresses have been provided for over 170 children, enabling them to stay with family members or keep sibling groups together. We expanded our Back to School Bash to three locations, and were able to serve more of the community. We began providing birthday gifts for children in foster care. We continued serving in West Knoxville, Oak Ridge, North Knoxville, Seymour, and Campbell County! What a year it was!
As we continue to move through 2024, we look forward to continuing to serve the foster care community in East Tennessee. We welcome you to partner with us!
